If you have the time and energy, it’s a pleasant wander into the city via Brick Lane and Shoreditch (make sure you stop off to pick up some bagels). - You’re in luck when it comes to local pubs as there are some truly iconic institutions within a few minutes - both The Camel and The Florist are excellent choices for a pint and a catch up with friends before or after showing off your new home. As my first place, I've enjoyed seeing the area develop, meaning better coffee, and a plethora of green spaces for me and my pugs, Herc & Berk, to enjoy. If we're feeling lazy we'll head to Bethnal Green Gardens, for a moderate walk we can walk to Victoria Park in about 10mins, and if we're trying to rival Mo Farrah, we take a stroll down the canal through Mile End and beyond. As soon as you enter the estate you're greeted by an amazing bright mural, commissioned by the owner and tenant led co-op. It makes me smile every time I pass it, and is a physical sign of the genuine warmth, vibrancy and diversity of this community."
